Volunteerism - Many students younger or older question “why do I have to volunteer” over and over when they need to get their volunteer hours. It is an important set of skills that everyone needs to learn. When volunteering you learn skills that you can use in the future. For example, you learn problem-solving skills that you can use in high school and any profession of your choosing. When you learn these skills it can help with the career paths you choose in the present or future. What you learn when volunteering can help make decisions on what you like or don't like about a job. Plus, you can see what the working world is like without the commitments that come with a part-time job. Volunteering can show what you like about that occupation or just give you a sense of community. Helping in the community can give anyone a sense of pride in your home town or city. If you ever have doubts about your skill set or your options for careers then volunteering can show you what you are interested in. While volunteering your community becomes a better place with your help.
