Milton - Meaningfully Giving Youth a Voice (video)

randa204

Recorded By: Kacy B. and Amber S,

January 28, 2020

This video was originally created to be shown at the Halton District School Board UN Rights of the Child conference in December 2019. The intended audience was adults, in particular educators, with the goal being for them to hear how they can meaningfully gather youth voice and opinions on different topics. This group related their experience on the Milton Youth Action Team into bigger picture conversations on community research and decisions that impact youth.

  1. Do youth feel they are being heard by adults in the community?

  2. How are ways that adults can listen to youth by surveys and polls, etc.?

  3. How can adults interest youth to get involved and give their voice?
